It is also seen as a luxury Japanese confectionery, appreciated for its vivid color and the way it is lovingly and painstakingly handcrafted, and is often given as a present to guests at wedding receptions.
In recent years, it is also being re-embraced by the younger generation as a ""kawaii"" (cute) confectionery.

Our Product is Fit for Present-day Consumer.
MD HOLDINGS CO., LTD.'s konpeito is made in Japan and offered in a form tailored to the present-day consumer.
The konpeito is packed in cute individual wrappers and weighs approximately 7g. Each pack contains just the right amount, neither too much nor too little for a woman to enjoy all in one go. It is also convenient for sharing and carrying on the move.
Konpeito is included as an emergency food. It is better than other energy sources, rock sugar and other sugars, because not only the prickly shape induce the secretion of saliva and aid chewing other dry emergency food, but also the colorful and cute appearance can reduce the stress under the disaster. In such a scene individual wrappers are very helpful.
Konpeito's popularity is on the rise since 2014, as a subject of Japanese ""kawaii"" (cute) culture. Spin-off goods inspired by konpeito are also on the increase.
Also, they are popular among foreigners as a traditional Japanese confectionery. (Our company handles it as candy (food product)).
